IISAST stakeholder meeting in Paris
I am participating today in a meeting of the stakeholders in the Initiative for International Information Systems in Agricultural Science and Technology.

Goal of the meeting was to find a new agreement how to foster collaboration between different partners who are all working in Agricultural Information Systems. The group (among GFAR, CABI, FAO, CGIAR, CTA, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, IAALD) agreed to write a manifesto for more Coherence in Information for Agricultural Research and Development. This will be also the new name of the Initiative ICARD.
This very well reflects the strategic approach of my team of FAO in creating infrastructures for Knowledge Exchange in Agricultural Science and Technology
